VideoWave III goes digital.

If you've always fancied yourself as a film maker - perhaps rustling up a quick home movie about the local witch - MGI's VideoWave III could be the answer. It's the latest version of the company's home video editing software and supports both the latest Digital Video camcorders and older types, such as 8mm and VHS.

If you've always fancied yourself as a film maker - perhaps rustling up a quick home movie about the local witch - MGI's VideoWave III could be the answer. It's the latest version of the company's home video editing software and supports both the latest Digital Video camcorders and older types, such as 8mm and VHS.

MGI claims that it's easier than ever to connect a digital camcorder to your PC, without needing any special drivers, and a feature called SmartDV will make it much quicker to save your edited film.

VideoWave III lets you save your films as Windows video clips, or as MPEG - the standard used on DVDs. Downloadable add-ons for the program will allow you to use MP3 files for the soundtrack or capture images from old VideoCD discs.
