We forgot to print the rules that are be used in conjunction with the Stableford golf score spreadsheet featured in our Workshop in issue 136. Here are the rules you need to follow for the spreadsheet to work.
Each hole on a golf course has an index number according to how difficult it is.A table is used to determine how many points (1, 2 or 0) to deduct from your score on a hole according to your handicap and the hole's index. This is covered in step 1 of the Workshop where columns B and C represent 1 and 2-point deductions according to the index numbers listed and handicaps ranging from 19 to 36.
Index numbers range from 1 (hardest) to 18 (easiest). The table in step 1 is a guide and is not used in any calculations.
