The Adobe PDF format is great for making sure that documents look right no matter what software views them but it can be frustrating if you want to edit the material inside.

Abbyy PDF Transformer avoids the expensive purchase of Adobe Acrobat as it will convert PDF files into other formats including Word, Excel, plain text and HTML. The PDFs can be taken from scans or from other applications.

PDF Transformer will either works as a stand alone wizard or will integrate into Microsoft Office.

It can also be used to create PDF files from other programs.

This Try&Buy version will convert maximum of 15 files. In the case of multi-page PDF documents, it will convert up to 3 pages of each document. A full licence can be bought from within the program.
