Verdict:

An exciting add-on for Microsoft Flight Sim

Rating:

4

Price:

£20

FS Falcon is an add-on pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator with four new maps and 65 liveries. Like other Just Flight simulations, flying the F16 Fighting Falcon plane gives a real sense of its raw performance, without being over sensitive.

The cockpit is one of the simulation’s strong points with seven viewpoints in both 2D and 3D. The external views are also excellent with some extremely good animations.

The landing gear has a complicated travel and the engine nozzle changes with throttle movements. You can open the canopy and flip the sun visor down on the pilots’ helmet

For a real challenge, you can even attempt in-flight refuelling with a KC-10. This is much harder than it sounds, especially as the F-16 gets through a lot of fuel very quickly.

For those seeking combat, this pack can also be used with Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3.
