If you fancy recreating missions of the famous American bomber Memphis Belle, then this Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator add-on pack for from Just Flight offers you the chance to do just that. Included are the American B17F bomber and all 25 missions that ‘Belle’ flew.

All missions are spot on with accurate dates, times, weather conditions and participating aircraft. Just Flight has also included the War Bond flights that Memphis Belle flew in America.

Each of the aircraft positions such as bombardier, waist, nose, tail and upper turret have been recreated with good attention to detail. Switch to an exterior camera mode and you’ll see the authentic Memphis Belle livery and nose art.

The manual is excellent with quotes from the original crew and plenty of pictures.
The game is officially endorsed by the Memphis Belle Memorial Association and, as an expansion pack, is capable of working with Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator III, Flight Simulator 2002, and even A Century of Flight.

Just like the real thing, all the limitations of the aircraft are in full effect, so you’ll have to practice your flying before attempting to do battle in the skies.

The computer-controlled enemies are also faithfully reconstructed for this PC conversion.

One of the games’ strong points is the environmental scenery, especially that of Bassingbourn airfield, where the Memphis Belle was based during WWII.

While Memphis Belle is a standard expansion pack, it offers a new challenge and surroundings for flight sim fans.
