Q I have just built a new Antec P150 case. To mount the
5.25in DVD-RW unit, the manual mentions two plastic mounting rails. What does
this refer to, as the drive was held in by screws in the old case?
Duncan Laidlaw
A Some cases allow drives to be slid in and out, something
that makes installation much easier. To do this, the drive must be fitted on
special mounting rails as mentioned in the manual. These should be supplied with
the case.
Sometimes they are fixed to the bottom of the case or to the inside of the
plate that was fixed over the empty drive bay. You will often need to screw the
rails onto the drive.
