Gateway launches two PC's for Christmas

Sub-£300 PC’s under eMachines brand

Gateway has launched two low-end sub-£300 desktop PCs for the run up to Christmas.

The eMachines both come with six-channel high definition audio, a premium multimedia keyboard but don't include a monitor. They are also supported by the company’s service and support programmes.

The E4076 has an Intel Pentium 4 524 processor with 512MB of memory which can be expanded to 2GB, and a 120GB hard drive.

The E3042 has a 64-bit Intel Celeron D 352 processor, 512MB of memory and an 80GB hard drive. It also comes with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200-based graphics.

Both PCs come with multi-format double layer DVD+/-RW drive for playing DVD movies as well as accessing, storing and sharing digital media. They also feature a 9-in-1 media card reader and five USB 2.0 ports.

Both are priced at £299.
