When it comes to launching programs and navigating Windows, the Start menu is the first port of call for most people. But there are alternative program launchers. In this Workshop we look at one called Rocketdock.

If you’ve recently used an Apple Mac computer you’ll know that an animated ‘docking’ area can be used to launch programs. Rocketdock brings the same functionality to users of Windows XP. It will look great and allow for more customisation compared to the Start menu. By default the dock includes links to commonly used components of Windows, but you can add as many shortcuts as you want.
