Generations Family Tree is aimed at beginners who may find the advanced features of many other packages overwhelming.

It has a simple interface with clear information on individuals, such as birth and death dates, along with more detailed information.

There is a strong American feel to the online resources linked to this software, although there are plenty of UK-based research websites, such as findmypast.com

This bias aside, all the other features you would expect from genealogy software are present, with support for multimedia, web publishing and plenty of report options.

Registration is required to download this software.
