If you want to find out more about a Windows folder or file, click on the View menu in a folder, then Details. All the icons will shrink and you’ll be given information about each file, such as when it was created and how large it is.
Sometimes Windows doesn’t allocate enough room for this information, so move your mouse pointer to where the category headings are and move it between these. The pointer will change into a cross when you do this. Click and hold the mouse button when the cursor changes, then drag the column to the right to increase the amount of space allocated to a category.
