Windows Media Player (WMP) has often felt like a poor relation to Apple’s all-conquering iTunes, but with the latest release, that’s no longer the case.
Thanks to a new look that is pared-down and yet fancier than before and a strong set of features, WMP is an excellent way to manage all kinds of media on a PC.
The library system has been improved, searching is lightning fast, it’s easier to synchronise with portable music players and long playlists can be burned to multiple CDs easily. Add the ability to share the photos, videos and music stored on a PC wirelessly with other devices and WMP 11 is a substantial product that’s well worth the download.
