Distribution group Fayrewood has scotched rumours that it has put its UK IBM arm Interface Solutions up for sale.

Losses at Interface exceeded budget in the first half of 2007, with rumours mounting that Fayrewood is now sounding out potential suitors. Fayrewood recently sold its Spanish arm UMD and dumped its remaining stake in Computerlinks.

But David Kleeman, chairman at Fayrewood, said: “We aim to grow Interface, not to sell it. There are plenty of opportunities coming our way.”
