How to retrieve the Go button and Address bar in Internet Explorer

Q Help! The Go button in Internet Explorer disappeared and then the Address bar disappeared while I was trying to get it back.

Mr S Hughes

A This is an annoying feature of Internet Explorer 6 – you can remove the Address bar. It is no longer possible in Internet Explorer 7, so upgrading is one solution. Thankfully, it is possible to recover both the Address bar and Go button without this rather extreme measure.

Right-click on an empty area of grey at the top of the Internet Explorer window. A menu will appear. Click on the option ‘Address bar’. Hopefully this will also restore the Go button. If not, right-click on an empty part of the Address bar (not in the text area), then left-click on ‘Go Button’ to bring it back.
