Quick launcher programs are becoming increasingly popular. Rather than searching through untidy Start Menus, they search for what you want saving time. Fingertips takes the concept one step further by offering a faster way to add the ability to set up new items in Outlook. start the screensaver or start a Google search.
Setup is simple and the options window appears automatically. This is helpful for setting up personalised shortcuts.
Fingertips is most effective for people using Outlook as it can be used to quickly create new appointments or emails. It serves an informational purpose as well as it can be used to display different parts of Outlook, whether they are the inbox or notes.
Outside of the Outlook it has several clipboard options, including counting the number of words in the clipboard. It can load webpages in any browser, although there are optimisations for Internet Explorer.
It's a slight disappointment that it cannot be used to search for software in the way that Launchy can. This means that the two must be run at the same time. If it does not recognise a command the Setup button changes to quickly create a new shortcut.
