Q I cannot find a way to close a Word document without also
closing Word as well. I can start it again but it is frustrating.

A The three icons at the top right of a program window are
used to minimise, maximise and close the program. Just underneath the white
cross on the red background is another cross. Left-clicking on this will close
the document but not Word itself. Similar icons are also present in Excel and
Powerpoint, as well as other software such as Openoffice.
