The House of Lords has launched five short videos on Parliament's new YouTube channel.

The videos are part of a programme to get young people interested in politics and inform them about the role of Parliament. The first five videos which go live today explain the role and relevance of the House of Lords and follow the launch of the Lords of the Blog website.

People can watch the House of Lords: What's it all about? The House of Lords: Fifty years of change - Life Peerages Act; The Lord Speaker goes to school; Why get into politics? and highlight from the United Kingdom Youth Parliament (UKYP) event in the House of Lords.
