Prey game demo

Help save the world from evil aliens

Tim Smith, Computeract!ve 24 Jul 2006

The demo for Prey contains about one hour of the single player game showing off all of unique elements of Prey that sets it apart from other first person shooters.

Prey centres around Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic, who is forced to accept the ancient spiritual powers of his ancestors when his girlfriend Jen is abducted by aliens. He must overcome them to save both Jen and the entire planet.

Unlike other games, dying at the hands of the invading aliens is not the end of the game. After taking too much damage for his body to cope with Tommy enters the Death Realm. By battling the spirits of other fallen creatures he can regain enough health to return to life.

Finally, gravity is not the imponderable that it is in real life. Switches scattered about the games levels change which way is up.

Prey is built on a modified version of the Doom 3 game.
