Complete Internet security suite, consisting of various modules to protect against virus, spyware, malicious software, email-based spam and external hackers. An online backup module is also included.

Bullguard anti-virus checks for viruses every time you try to access a file. It uses a memory resident module, that blocks any infected file, before it does any harm. Bullguard anti-virus scans all popular archive formats such as zip and rar.

Your PC has many ports (think of them as doorways) that allow programs like email clients, web browsers and instant messenging services to link your machine.

Firewall protection secures these ports so that no malicious programs can sneak into your machine.

A Personal firewall gives you complete control over traffic into and out of your computer, stopping unauthorised access from intruders, as well as unauthorized traffic from your computer.

The size of your backup drive is chosen when you buy Bullguard and can range from 100MB to 5GB. You can always upgrade your backup drive with more space to suit your current needs. All subscribers get 100MB for free.

All uploads and downloads to our servers are done using secure 128-bit SSL encryption.

If a file is already backed up, it will of course not waste your internet connection bandwidth by transferring it again. A file will only be uploaded if it is not already on the backup drive, or if it has been changed since the last backup. This minimises the use of your internet connection.

With your online backup drive you can access your personal files from any computer connected to the internet - with or without Bullguard installed. Just log in to your personal Bullguard backup drive with your username and password, and you have all your personal files right there.

The latest Bullguard 8 ships with 5GB of online backup, an improved firewall and anti-spam module, as well as enhanced backup features including silent backup support.
