Easy Media Creator 9 makes the grade

All core components of Roxio's Easy Media Creator 9 suite of music, photo, and video applications have achieved Windows Vista Certification through Microsoft's premium logo programme.

Compatibility with Vista for hardware and software applications is proving to be one of the biggest headaches for consumers at the moment.

Many software and hardware manufacturers are testing their products through this programme which verifies applications and devices work with Vista.

The technical requirements for this designation target four core areas: reliability, security, compatibility with Windows Vista and future operating systems and installation and removal.

Roxio said this latest version of its digital media suite offers extensive support for portable entertainment devices, high-definition video editing tools, and new audio creation and enjoyment features.

The Windows Vista Certified version of Easy Media Creator 9 is on sale with major retailers and e-stores or direct from Roxio priced from £60.
