Brits use office printers to save money

Home printing is becoming too expensive, according to Kodak survey

People think the cost of inkjet cartridges is too high and as a consequence are using printers at work for personal use, according to a survey from Kodak.

The average person in the UK spends £105 on colour ink and £60 on black and white ink a year, according to research, but of the 1,000 people surveyed, three-quarters felt this was too much.

Nearly half were careful about how often they used their home printer, with two-fifths using the office printer to save costs at home.

Just under a fifth said they used the office printer to print their CVs and one in 10 admitted to printing job vacancies. Nearly a third of parents surveyed do not let their children use the home printer.
