Studio Devil BVC: Guitar amp modelling

Add a guitar amp to your computer

Tim Smith, Computeract!ve 30 Nov 2007

When recording a guitar with a computer it is often easier to plug the instrument into an audio interface directly rather than using a microphone.

Studio Devil BVC simulates an amp so that this missing link in the guitar sound is returned.

The Studio Devil BVC emulates a British style high gain amp, much like the Marshall stacks that are so popular with rockers, and a speaker cabinet with four 12in speakers.

It has controls for Bass, Mids, Treble, and Presence as well as the all important Gain control. But they only go up to 10 not 11!

It uses professional sampling rates of 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, and 192kHz.

As a VST effect it is compatible with music software that is VST compatible, whether on Mac or Windows.
