Quickly find what you want
When browsing mixed lists of document and media file types in Windows Explorer, it’s possible to group the file types with separate headings - useful when looking for a specific file.
In the left pane of Windows Explorer click a folder. In the right pane right-click on a blank space. On the pop-up menu point to Arrange Icons By and click Type in side list.
Repeat that process but this time click to add a tick against Show in Groups.
To make all folders show their contents like this, click Folder Options in Tools
menu, click View tab, click Apply to All Folders, click OK.
