PC help: Vary your icon size

Keep your Desktop clear

Scott Colvey, Computeract!ve 24 Jan 2008

With Vista, it is possible to configure Windows Desktop icons to a larger size by visiting the Personalize Control Panel.

While large icons can be useful from time to time, you may well feel you don’t need them enlarged at all times.

To save having to constantly change Desktop settings, hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and move the scroll wheel on the mouse - scrolling forwards enlarges icons, while scrolling backwards shrinks them. Icons for older programs may look strange, but the newer Vista icons look very impressive.
