Visualise your ideas

Cayra.NET is a free mindmapping program. Mindmapping can be helpful when brainstorming or planning as it is easier to visualise ideas and to move them around.

Cayra has a simple interface, there is a single row of icons along the top of the window with some extra information down the right-hand side. It approaches maps slightly differently to the main competitiors as the focus follows you around as it were.

If you are worried about losing links there is a search box that is always visible at the bottom. There are also some useful filters to help narrow the search down for better results.

It requires the Microsoft .NET framework and you should have Service Pack 2 installed on Windows XP.

It is possible to import maps from Freemind and Mindjet Mindmanager but export options are more limited. Maps can be exported as images or HTML.
