Workshop: Protect children from unsuitable websites

Make sure young family members aren’t exposed to inappropriate websites with K9 Web Protection

Nick Peers, Computeract!ve 12 Feb 2008

Fending off viruses and hackers is only half the battle when it comes to protecting a family PC.

The internet is awash with websites covering every aspect of human life, including the less salubrious aspects.

If you have young children, you probably don’t want them exposed to these and, with this in mind, a program such as K9 Web Protection might appeal.

K9 is a free program designed to block websites based on a number of categories, including pornography, viruses and violence. K9 can also be configured so you can set the appropriate level of protection for your family.

Here's how to download and use K9 Web Protection
