How to delte wrong email addresses that appear automatically
I have a problem with Windows Mail in Vista. When I’m addressing an email
the address is usually automatically completed but if I have previously entered
an incorrect address, it remembers both, even though I have deleted the
incorrect address from my Contacts. I assume the incorrect address must be saved
somewhere – can you advise the location of this so that I can fix the problem?

Windows Mail – known as Outlook Express in earlier versions of Windows – can automatically complete email addresses, as you have seen: when you start typing the address, it will finish it if it detects a known address. It keeps its own list of these, based on addresses you have previously typed in and people to whom you have sent email in the past.
It’s easy to remove the bad address: start typing in the first part of the address, and when the wrong one appears in the list below, press the down arrow on the keyboard until it is highlighted. Then press the Del key to get rid of it.
