Simple clear advice in plain English

James Temperton

James is Staff Writer at Computeractive, covering news, reviews and features.

He's closely followed the rise and continued rise of the tablet computer, from the iPad to the seemingly endless list of pretenders to its throne.

Having first used a computer to make the Amiga text-to-speech function swear, James quickly moved on to developing an unhealthy obsession with Global Gladiators - an Amiga platform game featuring some very familiar golden arches. Years later he would realise that technology was about more than games.

James studied English Literature at Cardiff University, also completeing an MA in Teaching and Practice of Creative Writing.

An avid football fan, James struggles to support Livepool.

He can be found on Twitter and on Google+.
