I've always felt that Symbian based phones are better than they're normally given credit for, and not just because I still miss my wonderful Psion 5mx. By far and away the best thing about Symbian isn't even on the phone, but the Nokia Suite for Windows.
Once known as Ovi Suite this software brings all of the useful information and tools on your phone onto the Desktop. No more tapping out messages on tiny keyboards as you can type properly. I even recorded a video showing how here. And, finally, you can read picture messages sent to you.
