Celebrate the Royal Wedding in style with your very own commemorative mobile phone
The Royal Wedding of William and Kate is set to be one of the biggest events of 2011. Like it or not, it's pretty hard to avoid the cascade of news stories and photographs that are appearing as the media whips itself up into the frenzy to end all frenzies. Amusingly, the 'commemorative' products are also starting to appear.
As well as the inevitable iPhone and Android smartphone apps, the Early Learning Centre also has "an adorable wedding scene with Prince William and Kate".
The HappyLand Royal Wedding Set costs £15 and features the happy couple, a corgi, some horses and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. We've also seen some rather questionable looking smartphone cases alongside the predictable deluge of mugs and teapots.
But we've been patiently waiting for something a bit different. We're after the best example of 'Royal Wedding Technology' and this might just be it:

Introducing the Special Edition Royal Wedding Phone, "a timeless keepsake of Prince William and Kate Middleton's special day". To say the product description is 'pushing it' a bit is an understatement.
The commemorative phone includes a screensaver of the happy couple, a (for some reason) 'God Save the Queen' ringtone and (we kid you not) "a handy torch to help you find your way back after the big celebration".
Priced at £15.99, the phone has a "symbolic inscription" on the back with the date of the royal wedding below it. There's also a commemorative box.
It's worth noting that a very similar looking Alcatel branded phone was available for 1p back in November.
