Stream music, photos and video files from a computer or networked hard disk
Western Digital was using the Gadget Show Live to show off its latest multimedia product, the WD TV Live Hub - and in the video below, produced in association with Western Digital, we demonstrate how it works.
The Live Hub can stream music, photos and video files from a computer or any suitable Network Attached Storage (NAS) hard disk, and connects to your TV via HDMI.
There's also a one Terabyte (1TB) hard disk inside, so you can copy media files to the Live Hub then play them when the computer itself is turned off. Getting files onto the disk is easy via its USB 2.0 ports.
And it can also stream any files stored on that disk to other players such as a games console should you wish.
