Viewsonic V350 phone can take two Sim cards

Split data and calls between two Sims with this Android smartphone

Viewsonic V350

Viewsonic is at the Gadget Show Live 2011 with its V350 Android phone, which can run two Sim cards at the same time.

The company says that the V350 is the world's first dual-Sim 3G Android phone.

To find out more about the V350, see our video interview with Viewsonic's European marketing manager James Coulson below:

The phone can make calls from either Sim, connect to the internet using data from either Sim or split data and calls between the two. This lets users take advantage of cheap data-only plans on some networks or use a foreign Sim card when travelling abroad.

It lets the user select what Sim they want to make a call on and it can receive calls to either number.

The phone is fully Android-certified and can access apps in the Android Marketplace. It has a 3.5in screen and weighs 125g.

The Viewsonic V350 Android smartphone will be available in May for around £250.

Dual Sim Phone

"Is it gonna be available on ANY Network?" Ask a stupid question, I guess you get a stupid answer! About time a true 'untethered' device actually became available. Why in the UK can't we be more like France and make it illegal to sell locked handsets at all, let alone all the branded bloatware screens.

dual data? not exactly

Only sim slot 1 can do 3G. It's misleading to say both sims can be used for data without mentioning that. Sim slot 2 may work for data, but only at very slow speeds. This is evident from the spec sheet on the Viewsonic webpage, and also in the wiki page for dual sim androids: http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Dual_Sim_Droids

by far the best specs available for dual sim

Edward is nitpicking. What would be the point of 2 fast data slots? anyway both sim slots are quadbands. This V350 is going to have no real competition. there are a few chinese dual sim smartphones and there is the gsmart one. but Viewsonic has by far the better specs. This kind of phone is long overdue. Cant wait for it to come out.

WoW

would like to comment cause i have been waiting for such a mobile for a longtime, im truly a fan of two sim mobiles, cause it really puts the data sim and calling sim in one phone for the first and the second thing that it can drastically reduce mobile bill i mean really. as a two sim lover mobile i have used the following mobiles with dual sims 1. Qmobile 2. nokia e71 chinese copy 3. samsung d980 4. samsung d780 5. samsung b7722 and now i have ordered this mobile today with release date written 21. june 2011. anyway of all the phones i have used the samsung d980 was the best, as of viewsonic v350 it is quiet similar to dialing status, as one can choose between two lines and call. the main thing that really is frustrating is of data useage, all of these phones work quiet good as far as the phone and sim is concerned but the problems arrive when one has to check the emails and facebook and other social medias. as time passed needs change and to have a phone that combines all this is the successful on. the new thing that viewsonic adds to is beside the two sim cards that we take it to be basic function of it, it takes the help of android 2.2 which is a mainstream and reliable software helping to keep all things in one place. this gives this phone a new effect and credibility. waiting for it to be delievered as soon as possible

question to Wow

Hi, WoW Can you tell us where did you order V350. I've checked many shops mainly on German market and all of them offer pre-order without providing delivery date. More details: http://skinflint.co.uk/eu/a643787.html I'd like to order it as soon as possible .
