We test-drive the car that parks itself
We wrote about Ford's new technology-packed Focus car when it was announced earlier in the year, but at this year's IFA show in Berlin we had a chance to actually test it - by driving it straight at a wall.
Fortunately for our travel insurance policy, the car is fitted with a system designed to stop you automatically if you lose concentration and drive into a car in traffic - see our video to see if it worked. We also tested its automatic reverse parking system, which looks out for a space that the car will fit into and helps you steer into it.

Short cut to driving skills
These new innovations from Ford are all very well and good, but I can't help but feel, that we have enough people who drive badly or can't park to save their lives, without adding to the problem by giving them a short cut. Surely those who can't park should resit their test, and if they fail the parking part should be banned from the road.

Driving for the blind
It won't be long before Ford use this system and link it to your trusty sat nav and take you there without having to look where you are going, what ever next will they invent for bad drivers??

will it work in real situations?
I'd love to try this in the real situations I drive in. Im guessing it could cause problems in some situations, like overtaking.
