Here are the answers to the 10 questions posed on PC security in the quiz that was published in our free email newsletter and Facebook page.

WEP is one of the earliest wireless security standards and is the least secure of the three. WPA2, the second version of the Wifi Protected Access standard, is required for all Wifi-branded network equipment since 2006.

Most phishing scams take the form of emails that appears to come from a bank or well-known brand. It will lead you to a website that looks legitimate but is run by criminals. Remember that no legitimate business will ever ask you to 'confirm' details in this way.

Email was designed to be easy to share, not secure. Some email programs offer encryption but not as the default for every message. Hushmail encrypts messages and you can protect messages sent it Office 2007 and 2010 - but note that any company can be ordered to decrypt messages by a court if there's a compelling legal reason to do so.
