Create pages for Filofaxes and alternative organisers
Make your own calendars
There's more to personal organisers such as the Filofax than simply looking good; the electronic versions have yet to become a complete replacement. Unfortunately buying replacement diaries and extra pages can become expensive. The DIY Dynamic Template utility can create different kinds of pages with calendars or for taking notes.
The download here is the Windows version. There is a Mac version and a copy of the source code available on the page link above. The Windows download requires that the Blue Highway font is installed on the computer first because it is used for the documents. It's slightly frustrating not to be able to choose your own font but there's nothing wrong with Blue Highway.
It also won't print; instead the pages are saved as PDF files. This adds an extra step to the process but we'd rather have decent printouts as there are here, than a print dialogue box full of bugs.
The sizes in the software don't have any reference of the corresponding organiser size. There is a conversion table on the download page. Scroll down below the screenshots to the Paper Sizes section.
There are two template types: calendars and notes. Calendars can be daily, weekly, monthly or for an entire year with appointment space if required. You can decide which day the week starts and the starting month.
Notes pages can be plain, ruled, grids or dots. There are also templates for Cornell-based notes, ideal for keeping some structure to notes.

Good, but...
A very good, straightforward piece of software to use. Now, if I can just find a decent holepunch to use the damn things after I've printed them out...

Hole punches
I know what you mean. Filofax do actually sell hole punches for some of their products. Not that cheap but hopefully will pay for themselves eventually.

If all you need is a hole punch you don't have to pay the earth, you can buy them in Poundland, that's where I got mine.

Punching filofax pages
Make a punch template cut from the plastic top of a food container. Punch the plastic accurately with a single hole punch, then use the template to guide the hole punch on the printed paper pages.
