Use the image editor from a USB stick
Edit images with software on a USB key
The GIMP image editor is a very powerful program. It's greatest disadvantage has been that installation can be a little tricky. This is not the case with this version, however, which is designed to work from a USB key on any computer.
Installation involved a simple automated uncompression of the files. Once complete the GIMP portable was ready to go. There are no disadvantages to running the GIMP in this way and any changes made to preferences are saved. In fact, it is even possible to copy settings from an existing installation of the GIMP to this portable version.
All the features of the normal version are included. You can read about them in our full review.
