Get the Firefox Address Bar the Safari look

See the how web pages are loading with Fission

If you have downloaded the new Windows edition of Safari, you may have noticed that the address bar shows the progress of the page being loaded. Firefox users can now get the same effect with the Fission Add-on.

As with all Firefox add-ons, installation is simple, although a restart of Firefox is required. The default progress bar is a simple grey but the colour can be changed or an image used instead.

There may be some problems if a different Firefox theme has been used. Three themes are known to work: Safire, Eternal Aqua Safire and Noia (Extreme). Patches have been written for three more themes: Apollo, Redshift, Wellrounded. We used it with the Azerty III theme without any problems.
