Web ads support many (if not most) websites online but they can be annoying, especially if you are on a dial up connection and they increase the time spent waiting for pages to load. Often the source of the advert is located away from the standard website, so this can cause slowdown when you're trying to get on a website.

Adblock is an addon for Mozilla Firefox 2 or higher, Thunderbird 2.0, SeaMonkey 1.1, Flock 1.0, Songbird 0.7, eMusic Remote 1.0, Prism 0.9.
