A capable backup program that comes with 5GB of free online storage
Keep photos and documents safe with Comodo Backup
Backup is very important but isn't the most exciting task. Comodo Backup is a very capable program that makes this job much easier.
Installation is easy although a restart is required. The interface is quite plain and does not use any wizards but the tabs are well laid out, just make sure you work through them in order to avoid missing anything.
Clicking on the download link will take you to the Registration page so you can sign up for 5GB of online storage. All that's needed is an email address. We chose the right hand download option after registration for the full backup software. A restart is required to complete installation.
Comodo Backup will start automatically with Windows and ask for the registration details you set up previously.
The Comodo Cloud appears as a disk drive on the computer so it is easy to find and drag and drop files into for quick backups.
Creating a backup job is straightforward. A variety of backup sources can be used from your choice of files and folders, entire disks, user folders and email accounts.
The files can be backed up to the Comodo online storage, another disk in the system, optical disks or even an ftp server online. The backups can be compressed and password protection if required.
Once a backup has been created it can be updated with only the changes that have been made, saving time and disk space.

A confusing system
Not very user friendly. Lack of wizards and poor error message information make this a bit of a dud for a beginner. Help pages are very detailed but like the application you need to know a lot of stuff to use it and be ready to read and re read sections as it can be hard to follow.
