Create groovy drum tracks for musical projects

Create drum tracks with hydrogen

Recording a good drum track is key to making music track but recording real drums is beyond the means of most hobbyist musicians. Hydrogen is dedicated to creating drum tracks.

There are two main elements to Hydrogen, creating patterns and then arranging them into a song. Patterns can be almost any length and up to 32 can be used in one song.

Hydrogen is sample based, that is to say it uses small sound files for each drum sound. Various parameters can be changed in the pattern editor to change the volume and feel of the drums.

Extra drum kits can be downloaded from the Hydrogen website.

Finished tracks can be exported as MIDI or a WAV file for use in other software.

Other versions of Hydrogen for Mac OSX and Linux are also available for download.
