Stay in touch with friends while you're on the move
A improved way of using Facebook with Windows Mobile phones
One of the great things about the rise of mobile internet is keeping up with friends on Facebook no matter where you are. The mobile webpages do a good job but can still be restrictive. This app from Microsoft for Windows Mobile devices is a big improvement on using the built-in browser.
Installation is done on the device and can't be started through Activsync, which was a slight disappointment. It does mean that it can be installed without a computer, an advantage when on the move.
Simply copy or download the file onto the device and tap on it to start the installation. Once this has finished it can then be launched by tapping on the icon in the Programs list.
The Facebook functions are divided up into five icons at the top of the screen including Home, Profile, Friends, Inbox and Phonebook. All of these have submenus to access the information about friends and groups.
Photos can also be uploaded easily from the phone, a good way to share what you're doing with other people.
