Treeline

There are all kinds of programs around for organising ideas and information. Treeline is very flexible and can be used for all kinds of tasks from planning a piece of work to a contacts list.

Installation is simple and the interface is plain and functional. Just what you need to avoid distraction.

The left-hand side is dedicated to a tree-based view of the categories in use. Think of it like the folder view in Windows Explorer, or the mail boxes in Outlook.

Information can be held in many different ways. You can input sections of text, either plain or formatted in HTML. Specific information such as addresses can be stored in fields, as in a database or spreadsheet. A built-in search tool helps find information.

Treeline is open source so you can opt to install the source code as well if you want.
