Many mobile price plans include internet usage. Fring lets you use this to make free internet calls and brings together various different social media and messaging services.

Although there are no direct charges for Fring, you might incur data charges on your mobile bill if the mobile network is used rather than a wireless network or broadband connection. There is an estimate of how much data calls via the mobile network will use, 133 Kb per minute for voice calls, and 1Mb per minute for video calls.

As well as internet calls, Fring can also work with text based services including Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk, AIM, ICQ, Facebook and Twitter.
