A free tool that makes it easy to save screenshots from a computer
Gadwin Print Screen offers a wide range of options for screengrabs
The Gadwin Print Screen utility gives far more control over screenshots than is possible with Windows on its own.
Screen shots are shown in a preview window and can then be sent to a variety of destinations including the Windows clipboard, printer or a file, in a wide variety of formats. The location of these files and the basic name can be set, along with a program to open them.
It can use the Windows PrtScrn button or a new hot key of your choosing. It can pause before taking the screen shot in order to give time to change programs and either select the whole screen or just the active window. The mouse cursor is also captured.
This is an excellent free utility for anyone wanting to capture a screenshot.

not that impressed!
There's a slight prob with this, in that to print the screen on network printer you have to stop and change orientation from portrait to landscape every time. Otherwise you only get half the screen, printed portrait. Not really practical to do that every time! Screenprint32 used to handle this fine, but unfortunately doesn't know about vista.

Gadwin and Windows 7
Hi Danny, I use Gadwin with Windows 7 frequently - in fact I use it to take screenshots for the magazine. I've just updated the download link to the latest version of the software, so try it again. But it definitely works with Windows 7.
