Gladinet Desktop integrates cloud storage into Windows Explorer
Access cloud storage as if it is a local folder with Gladinet
There are plenty of places to store files online at no cost, but accessing files on them can be tricky at times. Gladinet Desktop makes these online accounts look like an ordinary networked drive so copying files is as simple as dragging and dropping them. This is much easier than using a web-based interface.
Installation is simple and the first run wizard includes selecting an online service to use. The Cloud Sync Folder keeps folders in sync across several computers, similar to the service offered by Dropbox. This is a feature in the Pro version.
A wide variety of online services are supported including: Windows Live SkyDrive, Amazon Cloud Drive and S2, ftp servers, box.net, OpenStack Storage and WebDav. Various Google services can also be used with Gladinet including Gmail, Picasa, Docs and the Calendar.
Gladinet Desktop is available in two versions, a basic version that works without any registration and a Professional Edition that costs $50 for home use. It can be installed on several computers and payment is accepted with Paypal. See the Compare Editions page for more information.
The Professional version includes a more advanced task scheduler that can copy more files in one job and the Gladinet Side Panel for Windows Explorer. It can also be used to make backups to the online storage accounts.
