Review all the hard disks, optical drives, USB keys and network drives on a computer
Manage your hard disks effectively
It doesn't take long to acquire more hard disks than is easy to keep track of, especially when you include USB devices such as memory keys and external drives.
The disk management tool in Windows is functional but does not give that much information. Drive Manager brings together some of the Windows information and some extra bits into an easy-to-use window.
There is no installation, just download the file and run it. There is an alternative download as a Zip file available from the Drive Manager web page in case you are forbidden from downloading program files directly.
The main screen lists all of the drives on the computer. This includes: internal hard disks and optical drives (CD, DVD, etc), USB external devices and network disks. It shows the size of the disk and how much space is availabe to use.
Disks can be hidden if you don't want to see them in the list and Drive Manager can display SMART information about hard disks. All hard disks keep a record of minor problems and how often they occur as a way of anticipating any bigger problems later on.
Finally you can assign a drive name to a folder. This can be a real time saver if you have documents in a folder other than (My) Documents.
