Get the best from photo screensavers

Both Windows XP and Vista can use images the My Pictures folders to create screensavers but the options can be a little limited.

Photocafe is a screensaver that can use images both from the computer and from the internet.

There are better options for how images can be used compared to the stock Windows screensaver. Photocafe can pan and zoom larger images and show them over up to four monitors. Layouts include a pile of photos so there is no need to be restricted to just one photo after another.

As computers still use plenty of electricity when the screensaver is active, there is a night mode. At certain times the screensaver will stop and the monitor switched off.

Images can be imported from Flickr or in fact any RSS feed that includes images. The Flickr import can be from a particular group or a specific individual.
