Build a dynamic website with the minimum of fuss and requirements
CMSimple makes flexible websites that are easy to edit
Content management systems (or CMS) can create great-looking and powerful websites but they often have high requirements in terms of expertise and the cost of web hosting. CMSimple is different because it will run on most web hosts on their cheaper accounts.
This is largely because CMSimple holds all the information about the website in ordinary HTML files rather than a database.
The basic template supplied with CMSimple is just that, rather basic. Thankfully there are plenty of other templates available at no cost from dotcomwebdesign.
There are also plenty of add-ons for CMSimple including newsletters and guestbooks.
There have been some important security fixes in the recent releases of CMSimple so you should upgrade if you are using an older version.
Please note this download is the version supplied under the Linware/CMSimple Link Requirement Licence. There must be a static, visible and readable link to www.cmsimple.org with text or an image stating 'Powered by CMSimple' on every page. There is a commercial licence available if you don't want this link.
The biggest change in Version 2.9 is that the plug-in loader has been disabled because it is not being supported by the developer any more. More information and help for using plug-ins can be found at http://www.cmsimplewiki.com/doku.php
