TED Notepad 5.4.2

There are times when you need a text editor with better capabilities than Notepad, but without the formatting or Word. TED is one of many Notepad replacements that puts function first and has lots of ways of speeding up work.

Installation is simple and there are options to replace Notepad and to make an option for TED Notepad appear in the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer.

The interface is clean, without any toolbars as all commands are accessed through the menus. It can undo multiple steps and be used to search for and replace text. Autocomplete makes typing repetitive documents much faster. It can also change the case of text, very useful if you want to convert some text written all in capital letters.

There is a portable version that does not install on the computer on the Download page. This is ideal for installing on a USB memory stick or if you want to use the software without changing the settings on your computer.
