Share data between a GPS and a computer
Geocaching is more fun with EasyGPS
EasyGPS is a free tool for sharing GPS waypoints and routes between a computer and a GPS device. It is ideal for enthusiasts of the geocaching hobby.
It can transfer information between GPS devices from Garmin, Magellan and Lowrance. The waypoints are listed in order with a map showing the route. This map is only the information included on the device, it does not come with any maps.
Geocaching information can be downloaded in the geocaching format gpx and then reformatted for the devices. It can even list geocaching sites in order of distance from your home for planning trips. Routes and waypoints can then be copied back to the GPS device.
It can work with different units of measurement, whether metric or imperial are preferred.

EasyGPS problem
Today the EasyGPS program downloaded and installed. Changing the program from a new Acer computer to an older one with a serial port allowed me to complete installation and waypoints could be loaded and sent to/from my Garmin GPS72. However I could not create a route following the instructions and checking the help programme for half a day. I might overlook something or something went wrong when downloading (did it twice). I'll miss the old EasyGps Tutorial for the to be followed instructions. For the time being I have to wait till I met someone who can solve this problem. The old programme from 2004 had a route menu where you had to click "new route"
