Keep track of the time spent on different projects
Find out exactly how much time you spend on tasks with Time Edition
It is often important to know how long you have spent on different tasks, whether you bill people by time, or just want to keep on top of a busy homework schedule. Time Edition is a helpful utility that may look just like a timer, but is actually a lot more sophisticated.
Underneath the large timer there are three dropdown menus. These can be used to select a client, project and task to time. This has a business feel, but there's no reason why it couldn't be set to School, History and Henry VIII essay. Different colours can be set for different clients.
There is a big play and pause button for starting work on tasks and it can be set to stop automatically after the user is idle for a certain amount of time.
If you need to account for time, Time Edition can even export the time spent as an ical file that can then be uploaded to Google Calendar or created as an Outlook appointment. There are offline alternatives in the form of Excel, XML and CSV files. These offline files also include revenue earned from tasks if an hourly rate is entered.
Text notes can also be added to time records if more detail is required. Colours can be set for different clients.
Finally, it is also possible to set Time Edition as a countdown timer for more urgent projects.
